Paper
We only use paper stock that is 100% from sustainable sources. So you can be sure that the catalogues, brochures and information you receive from us have no adverse impact on the environment.

The inks we use to print are also vegetable based too.

Recycling
Plastics Scheme
We operate a very active recycling scheme for the plastic consumables we supply. We'd encourage you to sign up for our scheme by clicking on the link below. Unlike others, we operate this scheme on a non-profit basis.

Internal
At head office we're careful to separate all recycled products in special bins so that everything that can be recycled is recycled. In our warehouse all used packaging is also sent for recycling.

Fastrak - A first use for bio-plastic
At the forefront of sustainable laboratory products is Fastrak. No other similar product on the market has less packaging or is made from more renewable materials.

Fastrak uses bio-plastic, a rapidly biodegradable corn derivative, for the first time in the laboratory industry.

WEEE - Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations
These regulations came into force in January 2007. Their aim is to reduce the disposal of WEEE into landfill and by incineration. Alpha Laboratories Ltd fully complies with these regulations by membership to the organisation B2B Compliance.
